This event marks a pivotal moment for boxing in our center and in the collective Huntsville community. Welcoming young and aspiring fighters from USA Boxing's southeast region, including Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee, our goal is to expand our reach to include fighters from Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. Your partnership will elevate our center to become a recognized USA Boxing site, providing local fighters with greater opportunities and visibility on a regional scale.

At the heart of this event is the North Huntsville Boxing Club (NHBC), under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Eugene Lewis. For over eight years, Dr. Lewis has dedicated himself to training fighters at the Showers Center, guiding them towards professional success. Notable talents like Obed "Radar" Bartee II, currently preparing for the 2024 Olympics, have emerged from our training facility. With your support, we aim to uncover the next generation of champions right here in Huntsville.

The NHBC welcomes over 30 individuals each week, instilling in them the fundamentals of boxing, the cardiovascular benefits, and the discipline required to excel in the sport. Your partnership will empower us to transform local enthusiasts into accomplished boxers with a clear path to success.
